Application Fields
PS-wave testing of rocks and soil layers in engineering investigation;
Classification of site soil types and site categories;
Fields related to stratum wave velocity research, such as engineering geological investigation, railway survey, seismic evaluation, geological disaster monitoring, and water conservancy and hydropower investigation and design.
Functional Features
Hole excitation method (self-excitation and self-reception) for testing shear waves (S-waves/transverse waves) and compression waves (P-waves/longitudinal waves) of "soil layers" in boreholes;
Hole excitation method (self-excitation and self-reception) for testing transverse waves (S-waves) and longitudinal waves (P-waves) of "rocks" in boreholes;
Testing of P-wave and S-wave velocity values of rock cores, and calculation of mechanical parameters, namely dynamic elastic modulus (Ed), dynamic shear modulus (Gd), and Poisson's ratio (µ);
Testing of dominant period of low-frequency ground pulsation.
Testing Method for ZD-F100 Full-Wave Train Probe

The full-wave train probe adopts a high-low frequency transmitting vibration source located at the lower part of the receiving geophone. It receives information of different frequency bands in soil layers and bedrock using low-frequency three-component geophones and ultra-high frequency three-component geophones, performs cross-correlation calculation of waveform peaks, and conducts effective optimized display.
This instrument can simultaneously test the shear wave velocity, compressional wave velocity, and ultrasonic wave velocity at a certain depth in the borehole;
For the testing of compressional wave, shear wave and ultrasonic wave, this instrument does not require probe replacement. The host can be operated to switch between them at any time as needed;
The testing of all wave velocities of this instrument adopts automatic interpretation, and the wave velocity value can be directly displayed;
This instrument uses a micro-vibration source, and the testing accuracy is not affected by depth;
This instrument can simultaneously measure and display different seismic waves, with a total of six parameters in three dimensions, creating broad space for the development of new technologies in the field of well logging in the future; it can also adapt to more difficult well logging environments.
