System Description
The Miniature Soil Tank Model Testing System is designed for research on the interaction between farmland soil and soil-contacting agricultural machinery, especially the rheological characteristics of soil particles.
Combined with transparent soil materials and PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) technology, the system can measure soil deformation, soil flow field, and load stress in all directions within the tank under different driving wall structures, various soil parameter combinations, and different loading modes including linear vertical feeding, linear horizontal feeding, and linear horizontal rotational feeding.
It supports analysis of the displacement increment field, soil flow direction field, and stress/strain paths of the disturbed zone under different tillage speeds and depths.
Applicable Test Conditions
Condition 1 Simulation
Various driving surfaces (curved, inclined or scaled-down components) can be fixed and replaced as required. The vertical working height of the mounting frame is adjustable to simulate different cutting depths. During testing, linear feeding is performed along the X‑axis, and motion images of the soil surface and cross‑section can be captured from top and side views.
Condition 2 Simulation
Simulates the trenching shovel of an excavator feeding vertically downward along the Z‑axis into soil layers at different depths. Soil rheology and fragmentation during excavation can be observed.
Condition 3 Simulation
A downforce‑controlled tire travels along the X‑axis. Soil deformation during ground compaction is observed from a cross‑sectional view.
